Red Carpet: Golden Globes 2013

The Golden Globe Awards took place on sunday, the 13th of January. And ofcoure, i had to watch the red carpet show to see all the dresses. I noticed that there were a few 'trends' on the red carpet: red dresses, black dresses, white dresses and nude dresses. Here are my thoughts on all of those dresses.

Trend 1 red dresses: Jessica Alba wore a coral dress by Oscar de la Renta: i like the color on her and also the statement-necklace. Jennifer Lawrence wore a dark coral dress by Dior. I thought she looked amazing: maybe the best of her ever. Marion Cotillard wore a orange/red-ish dress by Dior. I liked it, but i wish she had done something cute with her hair as well. Claire Danes looked amazing, only one month after giving birth(!), in a dress by Versace. The color looked great on her. Zooey Deschanel wore a Oscar de la Renta-dress. I liked the dress, but i did not like the necklace. Jennifer Garner looked amazing in a dress by Vivienne Westwood Couture: i love the dress, the hair and the earrings. I think this is Jennifer's best look ever! Naomi Watts looked stunning in a Zac Posen-dress. The burgundy color looked nice on her fair skin.

Trend 2 black dresses: Kate Hudson looked very chic in a dress by Alexander McQueen. I loved the gold with the black and i thought it was great that she had her hair like that. Katharine McPhee wore a Theyskens' Theory-dress. It looked ok, not very 'wow'. Eva Longoria looked cute in a dress by Pucci. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore a dress by Saint Laurent and i did not like the 'Angelina-leg'-thing. I would also liked it more if she had her hair in a up-do. Rachel Weisz looked lovely in Louis Vuitton. Although it would have been better if the black dress was not so see-through. Nicole Kidman looked very edgy in a Alexander McQueen-dress. Emily Deschanel kept it simple in a beautiful dress by Badgley Mischka (another one of my favorite red carpet designers). I really liked the shoulder-details. Debra Messing wore a dress by Donna Karan. I found it a bit boring.

Trend 3 white dresses: Amanda Seyfried looked nice in the Givenchy-dress. But i would have liked a bit more color. Anne Hathaway wore Chanel and looked good. Not my favorite dress of Anne. Hayden Panettiere wore a dress by Roberto Cavalli. I loved the dress! Lea Michele wore a dress by Elie Saab. I love Elie Saab his dresses and this one looked great on Lea. Michelle Dockery wore a dress by Alexander Vauthier. I liked that the dress was edgy and that was ok since it was white and gold. Julianne Hough looked pretty in a Monique Lhuillier-dress. Monique Lhullier is another favorite designer of me. I did not like the hair-cut, it was to 'rocker' for the princess-dress.

Trend 4 nude dresses: Kerry Washington looked nice in a dress by Miu Miu: i thought the dress looked very pretty on her. Jennifer Lopez looked a bit 'naked' in a dress by Zuhair Murad. Althought i like a lot of Zuhair Murad's dresses, this was just not a good one. Isla Fisher looked amazing in a dress by Reem Acra. I love Reem Acra's dresses: they look very girly and romantic. Sienna Miller actually wore a skirt and a top made by Erdem. I did not find it right for the Globes. Amy Adams wore a pretty dress by Marchesa. Marchesa is also one of my favorite designers for red carpet dresses. I also really liked the dress Megan Fox wore by Dolce & Gabbana. She also wore amazing earrings!

Others worth mentioning: A pregnant Kristen Bell look very lovely in a lavender dress by Jenny Packham. It reminded me of a dress Jennifer Lopez once wore by Marchesa. Emily Blunt looked very pretty in a Michael Kors-dress. Althought i don't like the color it self, the color looked great on Emily. Nicole Richie wore a dress by Naeem Khan. It looked very pretty. Lucy Liu worde a dress by Carolina Herrera. I did not like that dress very much. And the braid was not very 'Globes'-like. I loved that Rosario Dawson, in a dress by Antonio Berardi, wore peplum. I thought it was very flattering. The purple dress Taylor Swift wore was by Donna Karan and i liked that she wore a dark color: she usually wears lighter dresses.

Best dressed: Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Garner and Amy Adams.

Wordt dressed: Jessica Chastain. I did not like the hair, the dress did not fit nice and the color of the dress did not suit her.
