Book Review: I heart New York

When Angela finds out that her boyfriend Mark is cheating on her, and her best friend Louisa knew about it and did not tell her, Angela flees to New York. She becomes friends with Jenny, a concierge at the hotel Angela is staying in. Jenny gives her a Hollywood makeover and takes her out to see New York. She even asks Angela to move in with her, which Angela gladly accepts. Within a few weeks Angela is dating two great guys at the same time: Tyler, a Wall Street-banker, who treats her like a princess (and takes her to Tiffany & Co!). And Alex, singer of a band, who she secretly likes a lot more. Also, Angela gets to blog about her life for a magazine. And because her blog is such a success, she gets a job offer that will take her back to London. But is Angela ready to go back to London again?

NOTD: Essie-Bahama Mama

I have always been into nailpolish, but i started using more brighter and darker colors last year: before that, i only wore pale pinks/nudes. So for my first 'Nails Of The Day' (NOTD)-post i chose Essie's Bahama Mama. It has been my go-to color for fall and winter ever since i got it for my birthday last october. Bahama Mama is an amazing purple/wine red-ish color, very opaque and it has no glitter. The photo with flash shows the color as it is in 'real life'.

TV Series: The Carrie Diaries (first episode)

A few days ago The Carrie Diaries premiered in the USA and ofcourse i had to watch it. Although i haven't seen all the Sex and The City episodes, i am interested in Carrie's life before SATC. The show focuses on Carrie's teenage years: She is a 16-year-old girl, who lives in Connecticut and has to deal with the death of her mother, her sister being rebellious and her father caring for two teenage girls. Then Carrie a chance to intern at a law firm in Manhattan, which she gladly accepts.
